In the earlier days, people used to transform their back yards in to vegetable gardens and grow all sorts of vegetables. In our back yard, there will be a lot of greens and tomatoes planted by my mom. My father kept 4 coconut trees, 2 mango trees and various other fruit trees in our garden. There was a lot of space in the garden and a small hut was also put. Gardening and maintaining the garden was the primary task of my father. I used to take the vegetable garden pictures along with my cousins in my child hood age. In Orkut, there are a lot of individual pictures which are taken as vegetable garden pictures along with the friends and relations. Vegetable garden becomes a good hobby and with the steep rise in the prices of the vegetables, the vegetable garden will give enough vegetables to be used in the kitchen and will cut down the cost of the house considerably. The vegetable garden pictures are also published in the internet as sceneries and in most of the gardens, people will grow roses and other flowers making the garden a pleasant place to stay. These pictures of flowers are uploaded in the internet in the various web sites and also in the personal e mail and social net working profiles. The vegetable garden pictures are shared among the friends in the social net working sites and the friends comment on each photo and share their views. The social net working has begun to dominate the youth and the teens and the web sites like the twitter and face book has made social net working to progress to a new dimension. There are a lot of mobile phone applications that are based on the social net working to enable face book on the mobiles. One of the biggest disadvantages of maintaining a vegetable garden is that people cannot sit in the back yard in the evening and night time as there will be a lot of mosquitoes in the back yard and the mosquito bites may become serious with diseases like malaria. There are also instances where the snakes enter in to the vegetable garden in search of rats and moles which live in the vegetable garden. This entry of snakes might cause life threatening danger to the people living in the houses and hence the garden has to be maintained with extreme care.
